Jan Blakeley Holman, CFP®, CIMA®, ChFC, CDFA, CFS, GFS®
Director of Advisor Education, Thornburg Investment Management
Jan Blakeley Holman is director of advisor education at Thornburg Investment Management. She is responsible for identifying and creating advisor education programs that support financial advisors as they work with their clients and prospects. Jan is also a frequent presenter at broker/dealer and industry conferences where she discusses Women and Investing, Women in Transition, and Longevity Planning. She has also written numerous articles and contributed to several books on these and other financial-planning topics.  
Jan has spent over 44 years in the financial services industry. Over the course of her career, she’s served as a financial advisor, an advisor to financial advisors, and a financial services corporate executive. Past employers include American Express Financial Advisors (Ameriprise), Wells Fargo Advisors, and Wachovia.
Jan has a BA in political science from the University of Denver.
Jeff Bush, The Washington Update
A dynamic and insightful speaker and author, Jeff Bush is known for his unique ability to translate difficult and confusing information coming out of Washington D.C. into winning growth strategies for business owners, executives and high net worth investors.  Jeff is a colleague of Andy Friedman and an integral part of The Washington Update, the industry’s NONPARTISAN experts on all things Washington.
 Jeff presents more than 200 times yearly in the US and abroad to a client base that includes a who’s who list of fortune 500 firms from Wall Street to Main Street and everywhere in between. 
 Jeff frequently appears on CNBC’s Nightly Business Report, featured in various industry publications, including Investment News, and a guest on POTUS Sirius/XM Radio.
 While Jeff is best known as a keynote speaker, he has shared the stage with many notables, including prior Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke and Stanley Fischer,  Ron Insana, a reporter for Market Score Board and former Senior CNBC Analyst, Consuelo Mack, host of Wealth Track, Jeffrey Applegate, CIO for Morgan Stanley, Robert Reynolds President and CEO of Putnam Investments, and John Theil, former Vice Chairman of Global Wealth Management at Bank of America.
 Jeff is a 30+ year veteran of the financial industry. By the end of his career on Wall Street, he was managing a $50+ billion sales organization.  Before that, Jeff was the youngest managing partner in the 150-year history of The New England Financial.
 Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management with an emphasis in Accounting, computers, and philosophy from William Jewell College.
 Jeff’s dedication, forward thinking, and strategic abilities have resulted in performance records, industry awards, and industry accolades.

Matt Kress

Matt Kress is an experienced digital marketer, sales training facilitator and business owner.
 
He brings data, in-depth primary research of over 6,000 desirable prospects, and his experience of working with 200+ advisors to help advisors attract and retain more of the right clients.
 
He takes the combination of data and research with proven processes/methodologies to help advisors focus on what matters most when it comes to growing their business.
 
Outside of the office, you can find him training for Spartan races, endurance trail runs, or grilling out and enjoying a nice bourbon with his wife.
Matt Ransom
Vice President, Next Gen FA and Branch Associate Development,  Raymond James

​Matt Ransom is responsible for the Raymond James New Advisor Training (Advisor Mastery Program) and Branch Associate Development Programs.  Prior to moving to the Practice Management and Education Department in 2014, Matt previously served as an Assistant Regional Director for the Midwest Division of Raymond James Financial Services (the firm’s Independent Broker/Dealer).  In that role he focused on recruiting, retaining, supervising and growing financial advisors.  Matt joined Raymond James in 2003 as one of the original architects on how the firm delivers Practice Management via the Practice Intelligence portal.
