Credit Union Investment and Insurance Program Managers are often heralded as key innovators and strategic thinkers when it comes to pushing boundaries and building new ways of generating business. Our industry is rife with high achievers and thought leaders but some go above and beyond - leading their programs to take risks and build bridges to success that others only dream of doing. The PROCU Community looks to recognize one of its own in the name of such an innovator, Mr. Peter Snyder.

Pete had a myriad of accomplishments throughout his storied career and effected lasting program success wherever he touched. This award serves to honor Pete’s legacy and to recognize others who, just like him, break new ground in the credit union investment and insurance industry.

Each year the Pete Snyder Innovation Award is bestowed to an individual who has shown determination in bringing new ideas, new insights, or new technologies to life within their program.

Previous winners include:

• Kelly Corah, President of Addison Avenue Investment Services (2024).  Kelly was recognized for development of a unique and innovative "independent" structure within the Addison model. 
• Matt Snively, SVP of Wealth Management at Elements Financial (2023).  Matt was recognized for the work he has done around financial advisor transition and succession planning.
• Larry Braley, Vice President of Wealth Management at SAFE Credit Union (2022).  Larry was recognized for strategic initiatives implemented at SAFE Financial Services over the past three years to advance the delivery of financial services to their members.
• Patricia Wood, Chief Operating Officer of Navy Federal Financial Group (2019).  Patty was recognized for her industry leading innovation in the development and deployment of a robust, low cost, online investing solution for Navy Federal members.
